Hanspeter Borgwarth Obituary Hanspeter and Gisela met at the annual Riding Club Christmas party playing opposite roles in a play. As their love for each other continued to grow, Hans studied general agriculture and Gisela pursued her interest in poultry. Three days after their wedding, they immigrated to America from Germany. Hanspeter managed a 4500 acre farm in Wisconsin. They moved to Nisswa in 1964. Hans continued to work for Jennie-O-Foods until his retirement. During his retirement, Hanspeter gave his energy to the Initiative Fund, Rotary International and other community groups. He passed away peacefully at home holding Giselas hand. She was the love of his life. They danced through life together. At the age of 84, Hanspeter joins their son, Dennis. Hanspeters love of family will continue to be cherished by his wife of 58 years, Gisela. His legacy lives on with his children, Kathleen (Dennis), Margret (Jon), Nina (Dan), daughter-in-law, Jeri. In addition, he was very proud to spend time with his seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren on Gull Lake. Visitation will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, November 19, followed with a service at 2:30 p.m. at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa, Minnesota. Central Lakes College welcomes memorials to the Borgwarth Legacy Fund.
