James Gau Obituary James Henry Gau, age 87, resident of Brainerd, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018 at his home. James was born on August 22, 1930 in Pierz to Henry and Marie (Phillipi) Gau. James was a charter member of St. Andrews Catholic Church, member of Minnesota Deer Hunters Association, Sheet Metal Workers Local 10, USNR retiring after 23 years, and member of the Brainerd American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Marion; 3-children, Linda (Chuck) Gau Fields; Larry (Laura) Gau; Jeanne (John) Hendrickson; 6-grandchildren, Jenny, Shawn, Nicole, Rachel, Courtney and Joe; 2-great grandchildren, Noah and Gemma; and his sister, Regina Barker. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Armella. Visitation will begin the hour prior to services at the church.
