Jeanne Erickson Obituary Jeanne Ellen Erickson, age 99, resident of Baxter, died Saturday, August 22, 2015 surrounded by family, and went home to be with our Heavenly Father. Jeanne Ellen Erickson was born April 25, 1916 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to George and Gertrude (Collins) Colborn. She graduated from Central High School and attended the College of St. Teresa (Winona). On January 3, 1946 Jeanne married Kenneth Erickson. They moved to Walker in 1960, Minneapolis in 1970 and have resided in Brainerd since 1977. She is survived by three daughters, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, her dear friend, Judi Ballard, and many special friends. Her daughters and their families, Karen (John) Langerud, Bloomington, Cory; Joe (Mary), Jack, Jeremy (Michele), Jonny (Alison), Keegan, Caleb, Vinny and Jacob; daughter Linda (Pat) Taillefer, Bloomington, Heidi (Bob) Bowman, Alex and Anna, Aimee (Mick) Cermak, Talia and Charlie; daughter, Judy (Ron) Carlson, Onamia, Ryan (Amy) Paige and Graham; Eric (Shelly), Eliot and Kenley. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, daughter Patty, infant granddaugher, Tammy Jo, her parents, two brothers and three sisters. Jeanne was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, St. Agatha Guild and Our Lady of Fatima Rosary Makers. She also volunteered at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. In recent years she enjoyed reading, knitting, cards, working and teaching others word puzzles and loved the time she could spend with family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 28th at St. Francis Catholic Church, 404 North Ninth Street, Brainerd, with Father Blake officiating. Visitation will begin the hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be Saturday, August 29th at Calvary Cemetery in Grand Forks, North Dakota. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Francis Catholic School, Multiple Sclerosis Society (MN Chapter) or American Cancer Society. .
