Lee Langerud Obituary Lee passed away peacefully in his sleep with his wife by his side a little after midnight on January 24, 2015. Lee was fourth son born to Ella Ruud and Thomas Langerud in Mora, Minnesota on March 3, 1949. Lee grew up in McGrath, graduated from McGrath high school in 1967 and joined the Army in July of that year. Lee served two tours in Vietnam before being honorably discharged in 1973. In 1977 Lee married Terri Garrett in Hugo, Minnesota. In 1979 they had one daughter, Stephanie. Lee was a jack of all trades but made his living for many years as a drywaller. They moved to Stacy, Minnesota in 1984 and remained there until 2012 when they moved to Nisswa, Minnesota. Lee was a very unique individual. Lee was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He was deep soul and he cared about everyone he met. He lived his life the way he wanted to - always. If you were lucky enough to be a part of his life, he let you know that you were important to him. There will never be another person like him and he will be missed very much. Lee was preceded in death by his three oldest brothers, and his parents. Lee is survived by his wife, Terri, daughter Stephanie (Charlie), brother Alvin, sister Carole, brother-in-law Reggie, God daughter Casey, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A service for Lee will be held at 12 pm Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Church on Wise Road in Brainerd, Minnesota. Visitation will be one hour prior and a lunch will follow the service.
