Zachary Braund Obituary It is with great sadness that the family of Zachary Zane Braund announce his sudden passing on Saturday, February 17th, 2018. He was born in Austin, MN on March 17th, 1984 to Zane Braund and Robin Wermager. Zacharys welcoming smile and big hugs touched everyone that crossed his path. He brought comfort, love, and light as if he were an angel on this earth. He would give the shirt off his back, the food from his table, the love from his heart if it gave you the peace you needed. His love for animals stretched beyond the stars. Zachary would wholeheartedly agree with Arthur Schopenhauer who said compassion for animals is intimately associated with goodness of character, and it may be confidently asserted that he who is cruel to animals cannot be a good man. Zachary will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Robin (Marty) Billman; father, Zane (Janelle) Braund; siblings, Arieanne (Taryn) Miller, Mardi Billman, Kirstie Billman, Cameron Braund, Randy Braund, Stephanie Braund, and Danielle Braund; nephew, Chase Miller; grandparents, Judith and Cliff Uher, Robert Wermager, and Bonnie Braund; aunts and uncles, Wendy Wermager, Holly Boyd, Adam Wermager, Lisa (Nathan) Bye, Renee (Jim) Muller, Dawn (Marten) Kashmir, Tracey (Lonnie) Huston, and Cindy (Steve) Halverson. He will also be forever remembered and loved by his many cousins and dear friends. Zachary is preceded in death by his grandfather, Vernon Braund; and uncles, Randy and Vern Braund. Our angel on earth has made his journey to a greater place; a place free of pain, sadness, and despair a place so perfectly connected to his heart. It is filled with sunshine, gentle breezes, and walks along the beach. Be free, Zachary. Wrap us with your love from now until we meet again. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 22nd, from 4-7pm at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 418 NE 8th Avenue, Brainerd and will continue at 10am on Friday, February 23rd, until the 11am funeral at the church.
