Arlyn Laughton Obituary Arlyn M. "Slim" Laughton, 84, resident of Brainerd, died Friday, September 25, 2015 at Essentia - St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. Arlyn was born on March 21, 1931 in Clearwater, MN to Elmer and Blanche (Heaton) Laughton. He married Dora Anderson on June 15, 1949 in Brainerd. He served in the U.S. Army, receiving an honorable discharge in July 1960. He worked at Potlatch Paper Company for over 30 years. He is survived by his daughter - Darla (Curt) Fiedler of Brainerd and his and nephews, Paul (Linda) Laughton, Arlene (Harry) Hines, Rita (Martin) Wick and Duane (Nancy) Laughton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora, his parents and one brother, Howie. There will be a visitation at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
