Charlotte Warner Obituary Charlotte Rose Warner, age 72, of Brainerd passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Funeral services for Charlotte will be held at 11AM on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd. Visitation will be from 9AM until the time of services at the funeral home on Friday. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Brainerd.
Charlotte was born on July 9, 1952 in Little Falls, MN to Marvin and Loretta (Busby) Mertens of Brainerd. She grew up a farm girl south of Brainerd; and attended country school as a child. Charlotte is a 1969 graduate of Brainerd High School, where she met the love of her life Bob Warner. She was the rock of her family in many ways. Charlotte had an abundance of patience, although quiet in nature, and was not afraid to offer her advice and wisdom. She adored her husband, Bob, of 54 years; along with her children and grandchildren. Charlotte enjoyed spending time with family and sitting out in her gazebo watching the birds. She was not a fan of the cold, however, developed a love and understanding of the game of hockey; watching her grandson play. Charlotte had common sense, an uncanny intuition and was known as her own repair person, fixing a washer, dryer, and other appliances herself. She enjoyed sewing and creating fun, unique things for her grandchildren. Charlotte was a loving and devoted mother, sister, wife, and grandma. Her presence and spirit will be forever missed by her family.
Charlotte is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Bob Warner; sons, Craig (Tricia) Warner, Trevor (Kristine) Warner; daughter, Angel (Tom Pearson) Christensen; five grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Loretta Mertens; and brother, Jerry Mertens.
Charlottes family would like to thank the caring, loving, and compassionate staff at Moments Hospice, North Star Medicine, and Lakes Area Wellness.
