Obituary

Cornelius Patrick "Pat" Baldwin, age 91, of Lake Shore, MN and Estero, FL died on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Essentia Health – St. Joseph's Medical Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Christophers Catholic Church in Nisswa. A visitation will be held for one hour prior to Mass at the Church and also on Wednesday evening from 5-8:00 p.m. at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights.

Cornelius was born to Cornelius and Eleanor (McCarthy) Baldwin on April 27, 1935 in Minneapolis.

Pat lived a life grounded in deep faith, devotion to family, and service to others. He shared 72 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Sandra, building a legacy of Love that extended through his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, to whom he faithfully passed on his values and Catholic faith. He cherished time spent deer hunting with family and looked forward each year to the annual Fourth of July family gathering. Pat taught Bible study for many years and served faithfully on the St. Cloud Hospital Board of Directors. Pat was also on the Board of Directors for Moto Hope, supporting mission and school work in Kenya, and an avid supporter of CRS and Catholic Charities. Professionally, he owned a company in St. Cloud for 27 years and also served in senior management at Fingerhut for many years. Whether in business, church, or community life, Pat was admired for his humility, charisma, and genuine ability to make every person feel valued and special.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Sandra Lynn Baldwin; eight children, Debra (Gene) Westphal, Pat (Debbie) Baldwin, Mike (Sue) Baldwin, Sue (Pat) Groves, David (Sandy) Baldwin, Mary (Michael) Schroeer, Catherine Baldwin, Joanie (Todd) Vollmers; 22 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Therese Wegner.
