Obituary

Craig Hinch Obituary Craig Hinch, 80, of Pillager, passed away unexpectedly on January 31st at Staples hospital. Born to Lloyd and Leaffy (Layman) Hinch on November 26, 1944. He was united in marriage to Mary Holmes for 49 years before her passing in 2013. Craig loved hunting, fishing and taking his family on many adventurous camping trips. He worked in the construction trade and then moved on to Mels Tire Shop for several years. He left there to pursue his passion of woodworking in full force. Craig was a gifted craftsman and begin working with his brother Bill at Hinch Woodworking. Craig met an amazing companion that fit his life perfectly. They enjoyed the river, traveling and Friday night dancing. He will be deeply missed by his children Christine (Kim) Sherseth, Joe (Tammy) Hinch, Kari (Jeff) Hummel; 10 Grandchildren; and 23 Great Grandchildren; his companion Joanne Groves; and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mary; daughter Deb Karasch; grandson Jacob Hinch; and great-grandsons Blair Hafften and Noah Noakes; brothers Dwight, Bill, Lloyd; sisters Letha, Lavon, Sharon and Jeanne. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Pillager Community Center from 14 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of remembrance, sharing stories, and honoring a life well lived.
