Dale Halonen Obituary Dale Halonen, 72, of Brainerd, MN died on November 8th, 2017 in Essentia St. Josephs Medical Center. He was born in Grand Rapids, MN on August 24th, 1945 to Oliver and Gloria (Norman) Halonen. Dale graduated from Greenway High School in Coleraine, MN. He was in the United States Air Force from 1966 1970. He was employed by the city of Brainerd for 33 years. Dale enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, trapping, woodworking, and spending time with his family and friends. He was an AA member for 32 years. Dale is survived by Judy Radunz; daughters, Cathy (Tim) Graves, and Trisha (Dale Menk) Halonen; son, Rob (Irene Marshall) Honnold; step-children, Jeanine Hetrick, Michael (Annette) Hetrick, and Jennifer Klosowski; 17 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy (Joe) Helgestad, and Jane (Ed Rolfson) Gosen; 3 nephews and 1 niece. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 nephew, and 2 cousins. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Monday, November 13th at Nelson Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Sunday, November 12th at Nelson Doran Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral. Burial to follow at MN State Veterans Cemetery.
