David Heath Obituary David R. Heath, 84, of Nisswa, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Essentia Health -St. Marys Medical Center in Duluth. A Celebration of Davids Life will be held later. David was born October 7, 1936, in Pine River the son of Clarence and Hilda (Saxvold) Heath. He was active in many sports and graduated from Pine River High School. For 35 years, he worked as a pipefitter for Potlatch. David married Dianne Udseth on June 4, 1955. The couple was blessed with two boys. David thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid hunter of deer, moose, bear, elk, and caribou. He made many trips to Great Slave and Canada to fish. His skill as an archer was matched only by his love of the sport. He was the Minnesota State Broadhead Archery Champion in 1977. He coached little league from 1966-1971. He also had a grouse he named, Clucky, for a hunting partner for three years. Above all, David loved his family. He cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be missed by his wife, Dianne; their two boys, Dan (Virgie) and Doug a.k.a. Guide (Kim); grandchildren, Marie, Valerie, and Andrew; and great-grandchildren, Zaylee, Paxton, and Blake. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Earl; sisters, Amy Engel, Kora Prfommer, and Mary Travis; stepbrothers, Fred Lowe, and Loris Lowe; and stepsister, Loretta Risnes. A graveside service will be at Lake Edward Cemetery in the spring.
