Dean Hillman Obituary Dean Asa Hillman, age 85, of Brainerd, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Essentia Health St. Josephs Medical Center, Brainerd. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd. Dean was born April 22, 1935 in Oaks, ND to Sydney and Cora Hillman. He married Carol Thompson on April 24, 1954 and together they had four children. Dean worked at Consolidated Telephone, Brainerd Water & Light and Brainerd Burlington Northern Shop. He retired from the Brainerd School District as a custodian. Dean enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. Left to cherish his memory are children, Gary (Peggy) Hillman, Wayne (Marge) Hillman, Greg (Stacy) Hillman, Steve (Bonnie) Hillman; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and sisters, Emily Thompson and Jean Segler. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol; sisters, Alice Fradet, Elsie Melby, and brother, John Hillman. Arrangements have been completed by Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.
