Dewayne Tautges Obituary Dewayne Dewey John Tautges May 22, 1944 August 13, 2018 Dewey Tautges, age 74, resident of Fort Ripley, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at his home. Dewey was born May 22, 1944 in Brainerd to John and Mada (Bender) Tautges. Dewey operated the family farm in Fort Ripley for many years. Following his retirement, he worked for the State of Minnesota and served as a Crow Wing County Commissioner from 2000 2008. He was a member of Saint Mathias Catholic Church since birth. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed golfing, watching the Vikings, FOX News, playing cards, deer hunting, country music and especially spending time with his family. Dewey is survived by his wife, Peggy; son Robert Bundy (Denice); daughter, Julie (Dale) Woitalla; grandchildren, Loren, Maggie, Caleb, Katie, Payton, Olivia, Kayla, Kelly, Beth and Evan; great grandchildren, Marissa, Shane and Oliver; sister, Marleen (Karl) Smith and brother, Jerry Chico (Dorene) Tautges. He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Bernie, Donna Mae, Bonnie, Sherry and Jim. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 17, 2018 at St. Mathias Catholic Church in St. Mathias Township, with Father Daniel Weiske officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. including prayer service at 6:30 at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Burial will be in St Mathias Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are with Nelson-Doran Funeral Home.
