Dolores 'Dee' Van Kampen Obituary Dolores "Dee" Van Kampen, age 95, of Nisswa, MN and formerly of Mt. Prospect, IL. Funeral Services will be at 11AM on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Christ Community Church in Nisswa. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Nisswa. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. She was born in Chicago on Oct. 15, 1928 to Oscar and Ella (Smith) Nelson. Dee spent her summers on Pelican Lake since 1959. She enjoyed spending time at the cabin with family and friends. Dee enjoyed the outdoors, watching the loons, and playing cards and board games. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell; infant daughter, Linda; and infant granddaughter, Angela. Dee is survived by her brother, Lyle (Sheila); children, Darryl (Antonia), Craig (Nancy), Melodie (Bernie); grandchildren, DeDe, Tammie, Christopher, Emily, Derek; step-grandchildren, Sean (Vanessa); and great grandchildren, Jacob and Ella. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Moments Hospice or Good Samaritan Society-Bethany; both of Brainerd, MN.
