Donna Dahl Obituary Donna Dahl, age 85, of Brainerd, died on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Essential Health St. Josephs Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Park United Methodist Church in Brainerd. Friends and family are invited to gather for one hour prior to the service. Donna was born to Charles and Ethel Mae (Lee) Root in Crosby on February 4, 1937. After graduating from Crosby High School, she attended Hamline University where she earned her bachelors degree in Music Education. She was able to use her degree for many years and celebrate her passion for music as the Choir Director for Park United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, spending time at the cabin, doing crossword puzzles, bowling, and she could water ski well into her 60s. Most importantly, Donna was fiercely proud of her children and grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered for her feisty personality and spitfire spirit. She is survived by her two children, Kathryn (Larry) Kidd and Todd (Susan) Dahl; grandchildren, Jeremy (Annie) Kidd, Elissa (Andrew Cable) Kidd, Eryn Dahl and Peter Dahl; great grandchildren, Jace Kidd, Eden Kidd and Jackson Cable. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, LeRoy; and infant child, Benjamin.
