Dorothy Pickar Obituary Dorothy Pickar, age 82, of Brainerd, died on Monday, January 24, 2022 at her home. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd. Friends and family are invited to gather for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Brainerd. Dorothy was born on August 21, 1939 to Elmer and Mary (Carner) Hines. She had many joys in life, including, music, sewing, shopping, camping, and spending time with her grandchildren. As a mother, she was kindhearted, loving and generous. Dorothy was rarely seen without a smile on her face. She is survived by her children, Greg (Dawn) Pickar, Tammy Romano and Paula Bickford; grandchildren, Miranda Manno, Dakota Pickar, Nicole Romano, Jamie Vogt, Adam (Charity) Vogt, Breanna Bickford; ten great grandchildren; siblings, Emil (Mickey) Hines, Harold (Mary) Hines, Marie (Francis) Thompson; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of over 50 years, Roger Pickar; grandson, Joshua Vogt; and son-in-law, Tony Romano. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
