Duncan "Mike" Gregg, age 75, of Brainerd, MN, passed away Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025 surrounded by his family and Pastors. A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Mildred Bible Chapel in Backus, MN.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn; 3 sons, Christopher (Colleen); Nathan (Nancy); Patrick (Karleen); 2 stepchildren, Ryan (Christina); Lacie (Brent); and 12 grandchildren.

Mike was born on Independence Day July 4th, 1950 at Fort Dix, New Jersey to parents Harry and Eva "Irene" (Sharp) Gregg, where his father was stationed with the U.S. Army during his father's Military Service. The family spent many years moving around the world, including living in Japan before eventually settling near Baltimore, Maryland.

Mike created lifelong memories spending many summers visiting his mother's family in Canada. After Mike graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1968, he attended X-ray school, and began a lifelong career in the medical field that spanned five decades. His experiences included work in X-ray, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound in Maryland and Minnesota.

Mike moved with his family from Maryland to Minnesota in 1979, living in New Hope for two years when he learned to fly at the Crystal Airport, and then moving to Staples for a new job in mobile ultrasound supporting numerous local hospitals.

A lifelong aviation enthusiast, Mike earned his private pilot's license and owned his beloved Aeronca 7AC Champion airplane. His favorite vacation destination was attending the EAA air venture airshow in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where he and his family would camp and he would volunteer to park planes. Well known throughout Central Minnesota's local airports, he helped organize multiple air shows and shared his passion for flight with others. He went on to earn both his instrument and instructor rating, and proudly taught numerous people to fly.

Outside of aviation, Mike loved deer hunting, fishing, and cherished everything that came with those traditions.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Harry Gregg; mother, Irene (Sharp) Gregg; and brother, Donald.

The family would like to thank CRMC Hospice for their compassion and loving care in Mike's

final weeks.
