Edward Dullum Obituary Edward Thomas Dullum Edward Dullum, age 91, resident of Brainerd, died on Monday, April 4, 20011 at this home. Edward was born on Feb 13th 1920 to John and Olive (Clifton) Dullum, in Sauk Rapids, MN. Ed grew up in Woodrow, MN, and attended the Brainerd schools, graduating in 1936. Ed served in WWII as a radio operator for the Army Air Corps, and obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant. His tour of duty brought him to Europe and Northern Africa. Upon returning home, he worked for Mid-Continent Airlines until 1953, when they merged with Braniff Airlines. He continued to work for Braniff as a radio operator until 1965, when he decided to stay in Minnesota instead of transferring to Dallas, TX. He then worked in warehousing, shipping and receiving for various parts companies. He moved to Brainerd in 1974 and lived the remainder of his life on the family farmland near Woodrow. Ed was married April 4, 1945 to Muriel Lorraine Kuether, and they lived in Minneapolis for 11 years before building a home in Bloomington, MN, and raising 4 children. He is preceded in death by both parents, a stillborn son, his sister Lucille (Cahoon) Olson, his sister Evelyn Kagol, and his wife, Muriel Dullum. Survived by 4 children: Gary & Faith Dullum of Dallas, TX, Linda & Calvin Murphy of Monrovia, CA, Gregory & Marie Dullum of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Bradley & Judie Dullum of Brodhead, WI. Ed also had 8 Grandchildren, and 2 Great grand-children, numerous Nephews, Nieces and Cousins. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9th at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. Visitation at will be held the hour before services. Burial will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery on Monday. Visitaton will begin the hour before services at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd.
