Edward 'Gordie' Erickson Obituary Edward Gordon 'Gordie' Erickson, age 89, of Nisswa, passed away on August 20, 2022. Gordie is survived by loving wife of 57 years, Maryann; children, Jeffrey (Kim) Erickson, Daniel (Dana) Erickson, and Christine (Wayne) Casura; five grandchildren, Maja, Paige, Maddie, Callie and Will; sister, Beverly Irons and many other beloved relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by parents, Edward and Ruth Erickson. Gordie was a 1952 graduate of St. Paul Johnson High School, served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955 and was a dedicated employee of 3M for 40 years. In retirement he belonged to the American Legion, was an active member of the Nisswa Lions Club and enjoyed many travel experiences with Maryann and their friends. He had a passion for his yard and gardens and was an avid reader of local newspapers. Gordie loved spending time with his family, especially at holiday gatherings, family reunions, and treasured moments at the lake. Memories made with his grandchildren were always cherished and something he truly enjoyed. He will be missed by all the lives that he touched! A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon, Friday, September 9, 2022, at St. Christopher's Catholic Church (25574 Church Street - Nisswa, MN 56468). A visitation will take place one hour prior and a luncheon will follow.
