Eileen Phleger-Miller Obituary Eileen (Oppliger) Phleger-Miller passed away on August 23, 2024, at the age of 96 in Brainerd MN. She was born June 29, 1928, to Emil and Luella (Weber) Oppliger in Lincoln Kansas. She worked for Beatrice Foods in Kansas where she met her husband. She married Gail A. Phleger on August 17, 1952. They transferred with Beatrice Foods (which later became Russell's Creamery) to the Brainerd MN area where they raised their family. She later worked for Kemp's Dairy. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd MN Her husband Gail passed away February 20, 2004. She later married H. Allen Miller on April 27, 2012, and lived in Sylvia Kansas until Allen's passing December 30, 2012. Eileen spent her time after Allen's passing in Phoenix, AZ with her son, James during the winter months and in Brainerd MN with her daughter, Diane for the summer months. She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Mike) Stydnicki and son, James (Charlotte Jones), sister Eunice (Ken) Cochran and brother, Royce (Sharon) Oppliger. Sister-in-law, Phyllis Oppliger, granddaughter Ashley Wheeler, grandson, Andy Phleger, Great-granddaughter, Aubree Woolsey, Lila and Evie Phleger and great-grandson Drew Phleger and nieces Vicky Sayers, Kimberly (Rich) Boyette and LeAnn and nephew Gary (Kathy) Phleger and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gail A. Phleger and husband, H. Allen Miller and brother Marlin Oppliger. Eileen lived a long and fulfilling life. Her presence will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew her. Services will be held Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church at 11:00 AM with visitation an hour before the service (10:00 AM) with Pastor Steve Benson officiating.
