Emilio Flores Obituary Emilio Flores, age 84, died on Friday, September 4, 2020 at his home. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd. A visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Emilio was born in Anahuac, Mexico to Emiliano and Eusebia Flores. When he was 14 years old, he moved to California where he eventually met his wife of 40 years, Bertha. Together, they had seven children. Emilio was responsible, hard working, incredibly patient and never spoke a harsh word. He loved each individual family member special, whether that be one of his children, grandchildren or great grandchildren. He was a God-fearing man and a wonderful provider. His family will forever cherish the memories they shared with Emilio. He is survived by his wife, Bertha; children, Fernando (Roxanna) Flores, Angelica (John) Aldana, Mario (Rebecca) Gutierrez, Rosa (Rory) Zimmer, Norma (Judd) Olek, and Felipe Flores; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; his siblings, Carmen Acosta, Sally Guillen and Victor (Carrie) Flores; and many other family members and friends. Preceded in death was his parents; son, Emilio E. Flores Jr.; brothers, Cleofas Flores, and Angel Flores; and sisters, Margarita Landin and Maria Galindo. Arrangements have been completed by Nelson-Doran Funeral Home.
