Evelyn Eide Obituary Evelyn Delores Eide, age 93, resident of Brainerd, died on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Essentia St. Josephs Medical Center in Brainerd. Evelyn was born to Edward and Cora Roske on October 18, 1924 in Yellow Medicine County, MN. The Roske family moved to Pine River and raised their family on a farm before moving to Brainerd when Edward found a job in town. Evelyn stayed in Brainerd for many years while working there. George and Evelyn married in 1970 and spent many years traveling for construction jobs. She enjoyed the many sites, especially her years in Hawaii. Retirement finally came with wintering in Arizona and the many desert road trips she loved. Her biggest joys were her home, her yard, and her garden. She loved to watch the grandkids and neighbor kids grow up Evelyn always had candy and change for them. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Alfred and Vernon; sisters, Selma, Norma, Viola, and Helen; and step-daughter, Sharen. Evelyn is survived by her husband, George Eide; step-children, Terry Eide and Sylvia Graba; brother, Glen Roske; sister, Edith Hadlich; grandchildren, Jess, Jeff, Erik, Jody, and Anna; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
