Georgia Kelly Obituary Georgia Christine (Johnson) Kelly, beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025.
Georgia was born on August 23, 1933, in Brainerd, MN, to George and Inga (Bodell) Johnson. She graduated from Brainerd Washington High School in 1952. After graduation, she held various office jobs in New York City; Seattle, Washington; and San Diego, California.
In 1956, Georgia met and married Clarence 'Dick' Kelly in San Diego. Following Clarences service in the Navy, the couple settled in Brainerd, where they welcomed their three children. Clarence worked at Northwest Paper Co. until his death in 1982.
In 1963, the family moved to Baxter, MN, where Georgia lived for 55 years. After her children were school-aged, Georgia worked at several restaurants throughout Brainerd, Baxter, and the Nisswa area.
Georgia cherished time spent with family, especially activities with her grandchildren such as lawn darts, picnics, fishing, and card games. She also particularly enjoyed country music, dancing, and baking cookies.
Georgia is lovingly remembered by her three children: daughter Debra (Janet Molina) Kelly, son Michael (Amy) Kelly, and daughter Brenda (Don) Pfeffer; her grandchildren Scott, Katie, Christopher, Nicholas, and Kyle; her great-grandchildren Colton, Jaxson, Kynlee, and Milo; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Inga Johnson; husband Clarence; sisters Lillian, Vivian, Frances, and Betty 'Honey'; and brother Gordon.
The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Edgewood Vista Brainerd and Moments Hospice for their exceptional and compassionate care given to Georgia. They also deeply appreciate the support shown by friends and family during this difficult time.
