Gerald 'Jerry' Prindle, age 79, of Merrifield, died on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Essentia Health – St. Joseph's Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. Family and friends are invited to gather for one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.

Jerry was a kind-hearted, humorous jack of all trades who found joy in staying busy and helping others—especially his kids, who could always count on him for a helping hand. He had a deep love for antique cars, with a special fondness for Fords, often working on them while listening to the Beach Boys. A true dog lover, Jerry also enjoyed fishing, skiing, and spending time with his family, whether on sightseeing road trips or sharing a simple treat like an M&M Blizzard. His warmth, generosity, and easygoing spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Jerry is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Sharon; three children, David, Darren and Julie Prindle; four grandchildren, Melanie, Ethan, Logan and Max; sister, Sandy Pancoast, his great friend, Norman Aune, and his two dogs, Moxy and Molly. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Daniel.
