The Risnes family is saddened to share the passing of our brother Gerald. Jerry would have been 75 in February. He passed away suddenly at home on Friday, November 7, 2025.

He will be missed by many, especially his brothers and sisters. He was big brother to most of us, little brother to one of us, and deeply loved by all of us.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Cathy; parents, Lester and Geraldine; and our beautiful baby sister, Kimberly Mary Peck.

Jerry is survived by his brothers and sisters, Leslie Sunvold, Mikki (Matt) Starr, Scott (Jeanine) Risnes, Layne Risnes, and Jane (Myron) Israelson; special friends, Darwin and Cheryl Thoreson; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial will be held at the Green Lantern Bar + Grill at 1:00p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025. The family invites Jerry's friends to come and say goodbye and maybe share a story or two.
