Harry Bement Obituary Harry Steven Bement, age 89, of Brainerd, passed away with family by his side on March 27, 2025, at Essentia Health St. Joseph's Medical Center. Harry was born on June 30, 1935, at home in Ripley Township, MN, to Robert and Bertha "Mary" (Olson) Bement. He grew up in the Fort Ripley area and carried with him a lifelong love of family and community. Harry was known for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor, always making those around him feel welcomed and valued. Throughout his life, Harry was actively involved in construction, he built, managed and owned rental properties, operated a tree service, and worked for the City of Brainerd. His strong work ethic and dedication left a lasting impact on those he worked with and the community he served. Harry will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His memory will remain alive through the stories and laughter he shared with those fortunate enough to know him. Harry is survived by his loving wife, Arliss; his children, Mona Beach, Jeanne (Shawn) Armstrong, Rhonda Bement, Sarah (Terry) Lenzen, Robert Bement, and Laura Bement; 25 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and his brother, Laverne (Helene) Bement. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie; his parents, Robert and Bertha Bement; brother, Marvin; and sisters, Lila and Lorraine. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 4, at 11 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brainerd, with visitation starting at 10 AM. An additional visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, from 4-7 PM at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home.
