Howard Dano Jr. went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at home. He was 68 years old.

Howard was born in Brainerd, MN on January 3, 1958, to Howard & Dorothy Dano. His hobbies were motorcycles, trikes, watching wrestling, game shows and The Waltons.

Howard is survived by his wife Deb (McGaughey) Dano; his stepdaughter Mandy McGaughey; his sister Char (Scott) Bouressa; his brother John (Audrey) Dano; Family sister Linda (Gerry) Schuety; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Sheldon; his uncle Jim and his aunt Carol; his two cousins Mark and Vern Dano; sister Dano; and niece Michele.

Howard's Celebration of Life will be held at the Crow Wing Town Hall in Brainerd on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 2-4 p.m.
