Jean Bliss Obituary Jean M. Bliss, 87, of Brainerd, Minnesota, passed Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Born April 22, 1932 in Hackensack. She married the love of her life Arthur "Bud" Bliss; together they traveled the country while he was stationed in the Air Force. She ran a successful resort off the waters of Mille Lacs Lake until they chose to retire and make their final home in Brainerd. Jean lived a fulfilling life as a dedicated wife, mother, and incredibly caring grandmother. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Bud and loyal son Michael Bliss. Jean is survived by her two daughters: Susan Eberly and Patricia Lang. Also, her eight grandchildren: Ashly, Carrie, Jessica, Rebecca, Nathan, Tara, Cole, and Natalie. Additionally, she is survived by 14 great-grandchildren. She was an avid reader of all genres and authors; her favorites being Nora Roberts, John Grisham, and Sue Grafton. She enjoyed playing Bingo, late surprise trips to the casino, and a really great very HOT cup of coffee. She had a spirit second to no other; Her quick wit, sarcasm, and humor is something her family will remember always. An intimate memorial will be held for immediate family members.
