Obituary

Jennifer Skorich Obituary At 5:20am on January 26, 2025 Jennifer Lynn (Eliason) Skorich took her last blessed breath. She was a woman who had a knack for touching every soul she encountered. Jennifer was born to George and Norma Eliason on January 7, 1957. As the eldest of 5 children, many cousins, and neighbor kids Jennifer learned to take care of others before herself. Jennifers mother and father worked hard to help take care of the family which led Jennifer to learning the art of cooking. A treasured time in Jennifers life was teaching her children and grandchildren how to bake cookies. Jennifers beautiful smile, laughter, optimism, and electric energy are going to be missed by so many. Her husband of 47 years, Rod Skorich. Her loving children, son-in-law, and granddaughters, Dustin Skorich, Chelsie (Skorich) Belkholm, Mike Belkholm, Marlow Belkholm, and Mila Belkholm. Her granddogs, Dutch, Poncho, and Jimmy. Her mother, Norma (Ripley) Eliason. Her brothers and sister, Al Eliason, Jimmy Eliason, Steve Eliason, and Gail Eliason Funk. She was blessed with many loving aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins. Her path crossed with many children and staff in the Brainerd School District. Even after retirement, Jennifer enjoyed subbing and keeping up with students as they grew. Rod and Jennifer seldom sat still. Jennifer baked many treats for the crew of ISOC Snocross, sold meat raffle tickets Wednesday nights at Harpos, attended numerous snowmobile club meetings from Duluth to Brainerd, and enjoyed heading to North Central Speedway for Saturday night races. The family will have a private service and request no gifts. They just ask that you take the time to call someone you havent spoken with for a while, buy a stranger some coffee, or simply take a second to look for the beauty in the world around us. We love you Jen and will always keep you in our hearts.
