John 'Jack' Borden Obituary John C. "Jack" Borden passed away on April 10, 2025, at Good Samaritan Woodland in Brainerd.
Jack was born on June 27, 1933, to Ralph and Hazel Borden, and spent much of his life farming in Center Township. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Brainerd American Legion. Deeply committed to his community, Jack was an active supporter of the Community Church and served on the Center Township Board for many years.
He found joy in his faith and fellowship, especially through his involvement with the Gideons. An avid outdoorsman, Jack loved fishing, hunting, and staying activehe even continued planting trees well past his 91st birthday.
Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laureen; his son, Michael; his parents; his brother, Winston; and sister, Edna.
He is survived by his grandchildren, Wesley, Olivea, Audrey, Miranda, and Elaina; his brother, Tom; and eight nieces and nephews.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to dear friends Jim Wentworth and Tiffany Wood, and to nephew Matt Borden, for their loyal friendship and devoted assistance over the past several years.
A Memorial Service will be held at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m.
