John Schaefer Obituary John C. Schaefer, age 91, resident of Nisswa, died Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Good Samaritan Society-Bethany in Brainerd. John was born April 8, 1919 in Brainerd to Theodore H. Sr. and Hilda (Dullum) Schaefer. John and his brother Ted owned Schaefer's Model Market. John was a founder of Ski Gull, and Brainerd National Bank. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Survivors include; wife - Marlyss Children- Lynn E. and (Warren) Holmes Joen M. Schaefer John J. Schaefer Grandchildren - Timothy and (Jennifer) Holmes Christopher Holmes Megan M. and (Joe) Zierden Grt. Grandchildren - Jackson and Isabelle Holmes Tatum Zierden Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ted and Robert, sisters Jean and Elizabeth. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 9, 2010 at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Reverend Andy Smith officiating. A time of visitation will be one hour prior to Services at the Church. Memorials preferred to Ski Gull.
