John Taylor Obituary John Daniel Taylor, Jr., 74, of Brainerd, died Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at St. Ottos Care Center in Little Falls, MN. A gathering to celebrate Johns life will take place from Noon 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Nelson Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. Interment will take place at later date at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Ripley. John was born April 7, 1946, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of John and Angeline (Ruud) Taylor, Sr. Following his high school graduation, John enlisted in the US Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a truck driver who was devoted to taking care of his family. John was a loving father and grandpa. He also enjoyed dogs. He will be missed by his children, Kevin (Rose), Matt, Michelle (Daryck) Heizelman,; grandchildren, Logan and Payton Taylor; great-grandchild, Ronan; sister, Mary Anne (David) Olson; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian and his two loyal dogs, Sadie and Hermione.
