Jon Graff Obituary Jon Carlton Graff, 65, of Brainerd, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2025, in the home he lovingly built and where he spent countless joyful days. Born on April 1, 1960, in Seoul, South Korea, Jon was adopted by Henry C. and Hazel P. Graff, and from that moment on, Brainerd became his forever home. Jon married his best friend and the love of his life, Dawn Odana Frazier, on July 8, 1983. Together, they shared 41 years of laughter, adventures, and an abundance of love. Jon was a man of many talents. He ran his own business, Graff News Agency, from 1978 to 2000, distributing the Star Tribune across the Brainerd Lakes area. After selling his business, Jon continued to keep his hands busy as a handyman for Close Converse Real Estatebecause, let's face it, when youre Jon, theres always something to fix, improve, or just make more fun! Whether it was boating, snowmobiling, or simply enjoying time with his family and friends, Jon lived life with gusto. He was the first to offer a hand in any project, but also the first to crack a joke and get everyone laughing. His culinary skills were legendarywho didnt love his homemade cookies that hed generously share with anyone in range? And if you happened to visit during the holidays, you were likely greeted by his enthusiastic (and slightly over-the-top) Christmas lights or perhaps a spooky surprise from his Halloween decor collection. Jons humor, warmth, and zest for life will be missed by many, but perhaps most of all by his devoted wife, Dawn. He is survived by Dawn, his in-laws Ray and Jan Frazier, brother-in-law Todd (Liz) Frazier, sisters-in-law Lori (Bill) Bender and Jodi (Bill) Holtti, along with 12 nieces and nephews and 23 great-nieces and nephews. And, of course, his three beloved dogs: Pixie, Trixie, and Fizzy Pop, who always knew how to keep him on his toes. Jon was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Hazel Graff, and his brother-in-law, Kirk Frazier. A Celebration of Jons Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd.
