Joseph Thesing Obituary Joseph Ignatz Thesing, age 94, of Brainerd, died on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Good Samaritan Society Bethany. He was born on June 17, 1926 in Fort Ripley to John and Lena (Ditch) Thesing. He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1945-1947. He married Betty Nelson on December 31, 1951 in Minneapolis. Joseph is survived by his stepchildren, Raymond Duquenne and Betty Nilson; two brothers, Paul and Peter Thesing; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Lois DeRosier. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty; son, Joseph Thesing Jr.; and daughter, JoLena Beeson; two sisters, Marina and Florence; and three brothers, Leander, Ambrose and Raymond. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mathias Catholic Cemetery on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to St. Mathias Catholic Church. Arrangements have been completed by Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.
