Joyce Turcotte Obituary Joyce Estelle Turcotte, 91, of Brainerd, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Edgewood Vista. Joyce was born on June 24, 1926 in Brainerd to Earl and Dolores (Hall) Bedal. She graduated from Washington High School in 1944. Joyce worked as a bookkeeper and attended vocational school, majoring in floral design. Joyce served on Charter Communications Board and Lakes Area Concert Association Board. Joyce lead an exercise group for 23 years, and was a member of Eastern Star. She loved to sing and directed First Lutheran Church Choir for 20 years. Loved sports and was active in golf and bowling. Her hobbies included oil painting, playing bridge, gardening and she so enjoyed dancing with her husband. Survived by her husband, Bob; son, Rob (Holly), daughter, Wendie (Kent) Johnson; grandson, Chad (Connie) Smith; great grandson, Jaron Smith; sister, Lois (Don) Jensen, all of Brainerd. Preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marlos Nerby, Gladys Wilson and June Christopherson; and her grandson, Michael Vogel. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor John Stiles officiating. Visitation will begin the hour prior to services at the church.
