Judith Brown Obituary Judith "Judy" Brown, 78, of Brainerd, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Good Samaritan Village Woodland Campus.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 11, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Baxter. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services and stay for a luncheon to follow. Interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Brainerd.
Judy was born May 29, 1943, in Wayzata, the daughter of Vern and Gladys (Engel) Lamb. After high school, she married James Brown. The couple raised their family in Brainerd. Judy was active at the Brainerd Public Library where she served on the Board of Directors. Her passion for books and reading also led to her volunteering many hours with Friends of the Library. In addition, she spent more than 20 years helping in various capacities at Oak Lawn Township. Judy loved birds watching them and caring for them. At one point, she had 13 cockateels in her home.
She will be missed by her children, Jim (Lynn) Brown, Bob (Karla) Brown, Sue (Jesse) Bell, Bill (Stacy) Brown, and Tom (Katie) Brown; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas Lamb; and many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
