Judith Koska Obituary Judith M. Merdan Koska peacefully passed away of a brain tumor at her home in Nisswa, Minn. Feb. 10, 2016. Judith was born Oct. 26, 1942 on a farm two miles west of Collegeville St. Johns in Stearns County, Minn. She Married Ed Koska July 11, 1964 and lived near Cold Spring, Minn. until May of 1992, they then moved to the Brainerd area on Lake Margaret. She worked at the quarter deck restaurant on Gull Lake then at Schaffer's Grocery Store in the deli dept. in Nisswa until she retired. They then moved to Nisswa from 2008 to the present. Judy loved to work in her garden, planting flowers and vegetables and she also loved fishing with her husband. She was very involved in her community and church by participating in Meals on Wheels, vice president of St. Vincent De Paul, a charitable organization, and participating in Adoration Chapel at St. Alice in Pequot Lakes. Judy will be dearly missed by her many friends and family in Nisswa and Cold Spring. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ed; their son Don Koska and his wife, Annette; granddaughter, Sofie; their son-in-law, Mike Bolei and grandsons, Jake and Jesse, whose mother, Linda Bolei proceeded Judy in death on Dec. 26, 2011. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 16, from 5-7 p.m. at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Nisswa with a prayer service at 6:30. Visitation will continue the hour before services at the church on Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb 17, at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Nisswa with Father Mike Petullo officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. . Visitation will be held at St. Christopher's Catholic Church from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday and will continue the hour before service on Wednesday at the church.
