Obituary

Karen Christle Obituary Karen Alice Christle, 75, of Brainerd passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at St. Josephs Medical Center in Brainerd. She was predeceased by her parents, Russell Crosby, Sr., and Elizabeth Hudalla, her husband Thomas Christle, and siblings: Prudence Crotty, Russell Crosby, Jr., Charlotte Tourville and Linda Schmidt. She is survived by her sons, Michael, Dustin (Debbie) and Cordell Larson, Granddaughters Kylie and Nakari Larson and great Granddaughter Marleigh Roberts. She is also survived by her siblings Gaile Kaufman, Gloria Chandler, Lorraine Crosby, Shirley Hackett (George), Brenda Stein (Bob) and Marilyn Crosby. Karen loved her profession and retired from West Publishing in St. Paul. When she was not working to support her family she loved bowling, horseshoes, and archery. When her sons were old enough, she moved up north to start her next chapter in life. We believe she needed this new tranquility after raising 3 very rambunctious sons. While up north she was lucky enough to meet her eventual doting husband Thomas. They both loved life, which included enjoying the outdoors, watching the Vikings, and spending time with family and friends. It brings the family solace in knowing that all 3 of her sons were at her bedside when she left this earth. While she left us too early, she can be reunited again with her husband Thomas who recently passed away. We would like to extend our thanks to all the staff at St. Josephs Medical Center and our family and friends who have helped us get through these tough times. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
