Kathleen 'Kathie' Kane Obituary Kathleen "Kathie" Kane was born on November 5, 1950 in St. Paul, MN. Kathie passed away peacefully in her home on September 20 surrounded by family; following a courageous battle with lung cancer. She is survived by her husband, John Kane; daughter, Jennifer Kane; son, Michael Kane; and two beloved grandchildren, Riley Monasmith and Rachel Monasmith. A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 7th, between the hours of 2-5PM at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd, MN. Food and beverages will be provided. Interment at the MN State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN will take place at a later date. If desired, memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to St. Judes Children Hospital.
