Keith Drake Obituary Keith E. Drake, age 85, of Deerwood passed away peacefully in Benson on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Memorial Services for Keith will be held at 3PM on Monday, June 10, 2024 at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. Keith Edward Drake was born to Edward Ray Drake and Ivy Frances (Hyatt) Drake, at their home, on July 15th 1938. He is the sixth of eight children. Most of Keiths growing up years were spent in the Brainerd Lakes area. He graduated in 1956 from Brainerd High School. In 1959, Keith married Diana Kay Holp, and together raised four children. Through their 60 years of marriage they traveled, worshipped the Lord and drank many cups of coffee. When Keith was the Sunday School Superintendent, Diana was the Young Adults Leader they made quite a pair. Keith Drake was devoted to God, and avid reader, and Twins baseball game watcher. He was a collector of random facts and bad jokes, endlessly funny and wise. In high school he was voted "Handsomest Boy" which rang true through most of his years. He is proceeded in death by his parents, his wife, his sisters, Fran (Jim) Muller and Doris Marshall. His brothers, C. Robert (Lois), Shannon (Ione), David, and son-in-law John Gill. He is survived by his sons Edward Drake, Mitchell (Christina) Drake, Sheldon (Stacy) Drake, and daughter Temple Gill. His sisters Betty (Wayne) Wolhart and Diane (Jeff) Vogt and his sister-in-law Lorie Drake. His grandchildren Keith Drake, Ava, John and Faye Gill and Sophia and Zella Drake. Although 85 years wasnt enough time, we are happy that Keith is now spending time in the presence of his Lord and Savior and his family who have gone on before.
