Kenneth Anderson Obituary
Kenneth D. Anderson, 78, resident of Baxter, died Friday, December 21, 2018 peacefully at his home.
Kenneth was born on August 8, 1940 in Perham, MN to Kenneth and Jean (Dupont) Anderson. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and business administration from Moorhead State University following four years in the United States Navy. While in the Navy, Ken worked at the National Security Agency and was certified as a Czech language specialist.
Ken married the love of his life, Susan Paulson, on May 20, 1978.
Ken worked at various jobs throughout his life but found his passion as executive director of PORT Group Homes in Brainerd. Ken was very active in politics and even ran for public office and managed other campaigns.
Ken loved spending time with his family and friends talking politics and sports. Ken was one of the most avid Minnesota Gophers fans around. He enjoyed time spent with nieces and nephews taking them shopping, playing games, and driving through car lots. Ken had a great sense of humor that continues to keep his family and friends laughing through the fond memories they share. Ken doted on his four-legged family and could often be spotted taking them on walks throughout the neighborhood. He will be greatly missed by all.
Many thanks to the medical professionals who cared for Ken, especially to those at Mayo Clinic.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan; his sister Sigrid and her husband Ed Winjum, his mother-in-law, Mildred Paulson; his sister-in-law Carole (Jim Erickson) Paulson, his brothers-in-law: Doug (Deborah Adele) Paulson, Chuck (Pat Hagen) Paulson, Greg (Carolyn) Paulson, and Don (Barbara) Paulson; many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins, and his dogs, Spunky and Baxter.
