LaVerne 'Bob' Beavers Obituary LaVerne "Bob" Beavers, age 99, peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus on February 22, 2025, with loved ones by his side He was born in Mission Township to Alpheus and Elnora (Peterson) Beavers. Bob was a retired excavator, welder and Railroad worker. A lifetime member of the American Legion and AMVETS in Brainard. A former Chaplain and Color Guard for the VFW in Garrison as well as a head usher at the Light of the Cross Lutheran Church in Garrison. Bob was a lover of music and a guitarist. He enjoyed spending time with his family, old cars, heavy equipment, hunting, playing cards and bingo. Survivors include Son Robert "Bob" Beavers, Daughter Roxanne Beavers, Stepson Luverne "Corky" Beavers, eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Wife Marlys, his parents Alpheus and Elnora Beavers, sister and brother in law Isla and Harold Robertson. Private family services will be held. A burial with military honors will be held at the Pinewood Cemetery in Crosslake.
