Leona Douthart Obituary Leona A. Douthart, 92, resident of Brainerd, died Friday, March 1, 2019 at her home. Leona was born on October 16, 1926 to Joseph A. and Barbara (Doll) Loerzel in Perham, MN. She was a former employee of the Brainerd State Hospital, retiring after 22 years of service. She is survived by two daughters Nancy Hamilton and Pamela (Dick) Johnston; 9 grandchildren Daniel Groen, Barbara Leverty, Michelle Zelinske, Jackie Knutson, Sue Bleess, Cinthia Jordan, Jessica Johnston, Richard Johnston, and Misty Campbell; 22 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert McGinnis; her parents; two daughters Barbara McGinnis and Beverly McGinnis; her son, Patrick McGinnis, and her brother, Norbert Loerzel. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home with Deacon Mike Koecheler officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
