Lewis Nelson Obituary Lewis A. Nelson, age 80, resident of Pine Center, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at his home. Lewis was born May 28, 1936 in Crow Wing County to John and Winifred (Allen) Nelson. Lewis worked at St. Joseph's Hospital, in janitorial and laundry service; he took care of the lot for used cars at Corral and Ingram Motors. Louie was a quiet man who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved hunting, fishing, conversations with a few close friends and especially, the bond he shared with the animals, most recently his dog, Lucky. Louie wanted to express his heartfelt appreciation to his doctors, Dan Johnson and Christian DeBranin and his nurse, Paula who connected him with Heartland Hospice. With their help he was able to stay home until his passing. Special thanks to Sue and Melissa and aide, Melissa and Chaplain Gary Brink. He is survived by his brother, Willard Nelson, sister, Patricia Thompson and his nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Nelson-Doran Funeral Chapel in Brainerd with Chaplin Gary Brink officiating. Visitation will begin the hour prior to services.
