Lillian Richardson Obituary Lillian H. Richardson, 88, of Brainerd, passed away with family by her side on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Essentia Health St. Josephs Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Brainerd. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour before Mass on Wednesday and Tuesday evening from 4-7 p.m. at NelsonDoran Funeral Home. There will be Parish Prayers and a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Interment will take place at Our Saviors Lutheran Cemetery in Pequot Lakes. Lillian was born January 24, 1937, in Aitkin, one of the 13 children born to August and Catherine (Tholen) Beneke. She was fortunate to grow up on a family farm in Aitkin, where they had dairy cows and fruitful gardens. She made many memories with her 12 siblings, mixing work with pleasure. After graduating from high school, Lillian married and moved to Minneapolis, then Cambridge, then back to Brainerd. She worked for 30 years as a CNA, most of those years at Bethany Good Samaritan Village. She enjoyed caring for her patients and learning their stories. In 1956, Lillian married James Richardson, and the two were blessed with three children. During retirement, Lillian enjoyed meeting friends for coffee and watching birds, especially cardinals. She had a strong Faith and loved her family. She will be missed by her children, Jeanne Richardson, of Eden Prairie, Linda (Russ) Sullivan, of Brainerd, and Beverly Roberts, of Hastings; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Wassen; and brother, Harold (Delores) Beneke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; parents; son-in-law, Randy; two brothers; and eight sisters. Services Interment Wednesday February 26, 2025 6:30 PM P.M.
