A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Christophers Catholic Church in Nisswa. Family and friends are invited to gather for one hour prior to Mass.
Lois was a sister, wife, mother, business partner, store clerk and volunteer. Born September 11, 1931, to Ambrose and Roxanna (Tibbetts) Ritter in Donnelly, MN. She grew up in Aitkin during the Depression and graduated in 1950. She was crowned Miss Aitkin in 1953 and represented her hometown at the St. Paul Winter Carnival. She met Larry Fyle at the age of 10 and married him 15 years later on February 12, 1955, where her queen duties continued for the next 54 years. Together they started Ritter & Fyle Sewer Service in the Nisswa/Crosslake area. The business grew and the name changed to Fyles Honey Wagon. Lois answered the phone, kept the books, and did Larry's scheduling. Together they raised five children and later traveled with friends to Florida and fell in love with warm winters. They became snowbirds returning with the spring thaw.
Left to remember her are her children, Marcy (Tom) MacAulay, Tony (Wendy) Fyle, Gisele "Gigi" (Chester) Nelson, Jeremy (Cindi) Fyle; special family friend, Shawn Bailey; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Ronnie Ritter, Patrick Ritter, Mary Jo Sergent, and Wendie Bunnell; and many nieces, nephews, and distant relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jed Fyle; and husband, Larry Fyle.
