Lois Jean Brayton Thorne — born March 31, 1929, passed away peacefully June 6, 2026 at home, surrounded by her family.

Lois attended Brainerd schools graduating in 1946.

She is survived by her son, David and daughter-in-law Laura Lee Klein; granddaughters, Kris (Jeff) Kinney, Leah (Peter) Tessmer, Heather (Tony) Gulley, Erin Klein Carlson, Elsa Carlson, Emily (Eric) Ekman; 12 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia (Ginny) Paulson; son, John Klein; brother, Howard Brayton and parents, Harold and Gertrude (Schellin) Brayton.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10th from 5-7:00 p.m. at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Catholic Church, Brainerd on June 11, 2026, at 11:00 with visitation one hour prior. Private burial at Dykeman Union Cemetery.
