Luanna Gayle
Berczyk
Nov 18, 1949 — Dec 25, 2025
Luanna Gayle Bercyzk, 76, passed away on December 25, 2025, at Essentia Health – St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.
Luanna was born on November 18, 1949, in Brainerd, the daughter of George and Dolly Bercyzk. From a young age, two things were always clear about Luanna: she was resilient, and she absolutely loved life. She never allowed her challenges to dim her spirit and found great joy in the many family members and friends she made along the way.
That said, loving life didn't mean Luanna wasn't a little sassy. She wasn't afraid to let you know when she'd had enough—and honestly, that was part of her charm.
Luanna loved games and competition. She was a Yahtzee enthusiast, a true Bingo Queen, and played more Monopoly than most of us could handle. Her favorite color was hot pink—so much so that it proudly made an appearance at the bowling alley when she had a custom hot-pink bowling ball made just for her. Stylish to the end.
Her time spent at Bethany deepened her love for birds, and she made sure they were always well fed. Luanna enjoyed shopping, going to the movies, fun socks, and anything with sparkle—she never met bling she didn't like. Her heart was big, her smile even bigger, and her presence lit up every room she entered.
Luanna will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her mom, Dolly; her beloved staff, Lynn Severson; siblings, Jill (Curt) Compton, Tim (Terry) Bercyzk, Chris (Julie) Berczyk, and Julie (Rick) Wrobel; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her dad, George; her brother, Scott; and her niece, Tina Hughes.
Please join us in celebrating Luanna's life with a party held in her honor at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village Chapel in Brainerd. There will be treats, music, and a whole lot of love shared—just the way Luanna would want it.
