Ludivina 'Lou' Wirtz Obituary Ludivina "Lou" Wirtz, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 30, 2023. A Celebration of Lous Life will be held at 11AM on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at St. Mathias Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 9AM until the time of services at the church on Saturday. Following the service a luncheon will take place at the Brainerd VFW. Interment will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd. Ludivina was born September 16, 1962, the daughter of Ricardo and Tiofela (Pasaque) Quiton. Lou was blessed with two children Joseph and Louella. In 1990, Lou married the love of her life, Christopher Wirtz and the couple made their home in Brainerd. Before landing in Brainerd, she was able to experience many cultures while she accompanied Chris to his various duty stations while he was serving in the United States Navy. Chris was stationed in Japan & Hawaii. Here, Lou appreciated working at Menards and enjoyed all the people she was able to interact with. She began working there in 2003, many knew and loved Lou, she was even known as "Mrs. Menards" to some customers. After Chris passing in 2017, she would go visit his graveside every Sunday, without fail - bringing fresh flowers & sometimes food. She liked to spend her time outdoors, gardening and working on her lawn, at the beach, at the park, going for walks, self-reflecting and enjoying the sun and natures beauty. Lou loved vacationing and experiencing new places all around the world. She was a die-hard Vikings fan. She loved all music genres and going to live music concerts, spending time with friends and enjoying good food. Lou enjoyed traveling art, especially painting. She was a part of the FILAM (Filipino American) Group where she helped prepare and go above and beyond for summer picnics and Christmas parties. Her impact was always felt and valued. She was very outgoing and had a great sense of humor. Lou told you like it was, whether you wanted to hear it or not. She made up for that with her heart. Her heart was huge, and she was the most-giving person. She loved her Lord and Savior and always kept her faith. Lou will be dearly missed by her children, Joseph Quiton and Ma Louella Quiton DeLeon; daughter-in-law, Rona Quiton; grandchildren, Christopher Joseph Quiton, Ember Clare Quiton, Devine Quiton DeLeon, Maria Alba Quiton DeLeon, Alberto Quiton DeLeon, and Maria Feliza Quiton DeLeon; and many good friends and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents.
