Marguerite Couture Obituary Marguerite Jane Couture, 96, of Brainerd, MN passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 17th, 2024. Marguerite, aka Marge, Margie, Muggs, Margie-Marge, Grandma Couture was born on February 28th,1927 to Elizabeth and Frank Jarboe. From the day she was born she brought joy and laughter into the world. Marge met the love of her life, Rodney Couture and they were married on February 20th, 1947. They spent many afternoons on the golf course and their evenings dancing the night away. They had three children, Brad, Jeff, and Sheree. Marge worked at St. Josephs Hospital as the front desk receptionist. She and Rod also owned Couture Jewelry in downtown Brainerd. They were happily married for 61 years before Rods passing in 2008. Marges sweet smile could light up a room. She took every opportunity to laugh, eat the Barns lemon meringue pie and enjoy Randys fish fry. She exuded grace and class until the very end. Marge is survived by her three children, Brad Couture (Eugene, OR), Jeff (Deb) Couture (Lake Butler, FL) and Sheree (Randy) Hansen (Brainerd, MN). Her four grandchildren, Elissa (Jon Loss) Hansen, Braden Couture, Krista (Drew) Olson, Whitney (Robin) Couture, and six great-grandchildren, Carter Olson, Evelynn Olson, Francesca Olson, Hansen Loss, Jude Larsen, and Ace Couture. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 pm. on June 27, 2024, at Woodland Good Samaritan, Brainerd. Friends and family are invited one hour prior for visitation. An interment will be held at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, near Little Falls.
